Playful learning is delightful for every brain

by | 14.01.2019

Most of the time our brain focuses on something specific, it directs and controls everyday tasks. Only the drawers in the brain that are needed for this are opened. The whole spectrum of knowledge and skills is often unused. Through play, many networks in the brain can be connected with each other. The playful learning opens almost a hundred drawers and makes smart until old age.

Neuroscientists who deal with the globalized educational society are committed to saving people’s play instincts. They know that completely unintentional gambling provides the best networks in the brain. The more intelligent people are, the more they play. This releases messenger substances – catecholamines, endogenous opiates or other peptones – which have a growth-stimulating effect on neuronal networking.

Already children stabilize the enormous networking potential in the brain with games and not with expensive early childhood programs, as many think. They also learn to improve their cognitive and analytical skills. A child only reaches for a mobile phone if adults do not offer attractive activities. Boredom is also important and encourages the brain to work on its own and become creative.

Many adults consider playing as uncool and childish. The opposite is the case: through play, adults can experience more joy of life and remain creative. Many know the moment when the brain is relaxed and open. It’s no coincidence that the best ideas come in the shower, during a run and with friends in a casual chat. Playing instead of watching television gives positive stimuli to the brain and makes people more successful.

Unconventional ideas, innovations and concepts are in demand in many jobs. But often the brightening flash of inspiration is missing precisely when we urgently need it. Under pressure, alone, strictly rational and logical, no one develops great ideas. Unexpected ideas are best developed collectively, relaxed and with new forms of learning. In a team that works without pressure and negative ulterior motives, concentrates on one topic and achieves pragmatic solutions very effectively.

And this is exactly what the LABS of the CALA (Corporate Automotive Logistics Academy) are doing. First, there is a high-class lecture on a logistics topic. This is followed by an open discussion in order to obtain real practical experience and expert opinions in addition to the theoretical speech. Afterwards, creative solutions for the future of mobility will be developed in think tanks from the 360° perspective of various supply chain partners.
